In his position as loan specialist, Mr. London assists management in establishing loan policy for VA staff and lenders. He provides policy determinations (regarding complex cases) for Loan Guaranty field offices. He prepare papers, reports, etc. for the VA Undersecretary for Benefits as requested and assist management in the administration of the Specially Adapted Housing program (this program provides grants to disabled veterans to modify their homes). He also prepares responses to White House, Congressional, and general correspondences and perform oversight of Loan Guaranty field offices to ensure they are following VA policy while assisting management in drafting and/or updating regulations. In his current assignment, he reviews all correspondence prior to requesting a signature from the Director, Loan Guaranty Service or other VA senior officials. He prepare papers, reports, etc. for VA senior management, Congress, The White House, and other program stakeholders while implementing project design, management and implementation. He surveys design and administration; Loan Guaranty program redesign initiatives; Coordination of program policy and initiatives with Loan Guaranty field offices and the lending and housing communities. Mr. London has served as Chairman for the Veterans Benefits Administration Combined Federal Campaign (fundraising campaign that supports over 3000 charities – raised approx. $133,000) and served as a member of a project team to improve call centers across the VA. He also served as project manager of the Loan Guaranty Telecommunications Improvement Project (initiative to improve the telephony environment for Loan Guaranty field offices. He revised and edited the Specially Adapted Housing program procedure manual. |
