Ryan Josef Bates is currently the Vice Principal at Camden High School He was born in the City of Camden where he developed his love for music and bagan to play the clarinet and saxophone. His performance in jazz bands caught the attention of Fayetteville State University band’s director. He graduated from FSU in 1982 and started his career as a Instrumental Music teacher. Mr. Bates achieved many awards during his years as an educator. He received the Outstanding Service Award from Camden City Schools; Black History Image Award from the City of Camden; Riletta Twyne Cream Family School Teacher of the Year Award; and the Martin Luther King “Believing” Award from Camden High School. Ryan Bates currently holds a Maste of Public Administration degree from Rutgers University at Camden. He also earned his NJ State Principals Certificate, Teacher of Music Certification and NJ State K-12 Certification. |
